Baseball Hats
The baseball hat is essential for a ballplayer or a fan. It doesn't matter if you're looking for Strapback baseball hats or a beanie, we have you covered here at Routine.
What Is A Baseball Hat?
Baseball hats are oftentimes called caps and they always include a portion that covers the head of the wearer and another portion called the bill that keeps the sun out of the wearer's eyes. To finish the hat off, it typically brandishes something that the wearer loves about baseball or the wearer's favorite team.

Who Started The Rally Cap?
First off, a rally cap is a baseball hat that is worn inside-out. Typically, the rally cap starts making appearances in dugouts and stands when a team is down by a few runs late in the game. Pretty much all of the baseball world buys into the belief that by sacrificing your pride and wearing your hat in a goofy manner, you'll be creating good luck for your team. And that good luck could allow your team to rally back for the win!
The origin of the rally cap is not 100% determined. However, some individuals say that it first became a widely-known phenomenon during the 1945 World Series. In this series, the Detroit Tiger players were called out by a radio broadcaster who saw them wearing their hats in the peculiar inside-out manner while in the dugout. Ultimately, those Tigers did become World Series Champions that year. As well, many folks note that the resurgence of the rally cap occurred during Game 6 of the widely broadcasted 1986 World Series. The Mets stormed back to win the game in the late innings while wearing these inside-out hats in the dugout (and they eventually took the Series).
Regardless of the origin, be sure and know that any hat from Routine can be sported as a Rally Cap.
