During the Astros v. Angels game, last Friday, the Houston rap king and sports superfan Travis Scott revealed one supremely fire custom Astros glove spattered in all things Cactus Jack, a very well record/fashion label owned by the superstar. With the images shared of the back, the glove is dipped with Houston Astros colors, the wrist closure dawning the embroidered Cactus Jack head, and above that running up the index finger is the Cacti Spiked Seltzer logo. To the left of that, the primary Cactus Jack mark lies in the middle while the Cactus Jack Foundation and Travis Scott’s name are also embroidered in handwritten style on the ends.
This glove is a refreshing look at what a clean but heavily crude and artistic “street styling” looks like on an otherwise plain or typical customized glove. After seeing this, knowing what has been done previously, what can be done now to take glove customization to another level? Let’s throw that to you. If leagues allowed players to take things out of the traditional realm but had to function as a traditional glove, what would you like to see or do artistically for a player or yourself? Step outside the box and send your ideas to our social channels and let’s discuss.
